HIGHLIGHTS FROM THEIR FIRST EVENT IN 2009

Check out the pool hole…from a 12 meter diving board!!! yeah!!

Cross Charity Golf Tournament 2009 Here are the highlights form last year. Sorry for the not so great german translation. You can check it out on the crossgolf portal site.

To put it quite simply, it was just awesome. 130 participants – 130 smiling faces, 1 Perfect Location – 6 super cars to hit to, 2 donations to our charity – (€ 1850 per …) What more could you want?  To all that were not there, here is what you missed: Driving Range - Golf absolute:

Here is the almostgolf driving range. All players were given lessons and coaching on how to play the course

The first hole was actually meant to be more of a ‘gimme’ birdie hole with just 60m and no obstruction. Especially those who for the first time had a club in his hand, could gather here “making friends” with the  CrossGolf crew on their first experience.

A table and an office chair was to some obstacle, but they were positioned so that you can meet them “had”. The goal, a roller container. Whoever managed to play his ball in the open drawer, which was allowed to strike the final blow. lane 3 - Life Sensor – The medical record

A VW bus as a target? Thanks almostGOLF golf balls not an issue. The aim was to take the bus.Whoever managed to get the ball into the interior, without the ball rolled back out was allowed to strike the final blow. From the tee, there were approximately 60m to the bus and made it to some with the first blow. However, nobody was able to beat the first to place his ball on the bus and ne zero to note on the scorecard. lane 4 - Lumiball.com – We make night into day

50m straight … on a monitor, but 3 bunkers, each 16m x 8m Tiger Line was announced or the ball deliberately put in the grass next to the bunkers and the Flight of NEN partners listen “silly saying.” Lane 5 - Engelhorn Sport

About this track we had discussed for a long time. In comparison with the first web more demanding. The archway of Engelhorn had to be played, and then a bottle of about 1.60 m high to be taken, which was offset by 45 ° to the left – a dogleg so … Amazingly, many of the participants really had to make trouble from the tee off the 20m distant bow. Most played over it. Through had the ball, no matter from which direction. Then take the bottle was no longer an issue, she had 1m diameter. lane 6 - Mannheim ² – Life in square

The last and longest track in the tournament and a lot of trees in the way. This time must Laurent (tournament winner, incidentally, has no handicap) are mentioned, he played with the announcement a very shallow hook around the trees, so a curve has not seen the world … The ball landed in front of the goal 10cm – 15 strokes on 6 lanes, not bad. After the round, you could still make the LifeSensor Hole in One tee namely the 10m tower. 5 attempts meant 2 € “donations” – We had a pilot with 2 and 17 with a hit. Prizes will be mailed to you.

All in all through the tournament and our sponsors LifeSensor, we raised € 3,700 donations. These were immediately transferred locally to € 1850 at the Vivid Minis Mannheim and € 1,850 to the Children’s Hospice tale.

Thanks to all participants, InterComponentWare AG (LifeSensor), Office Kahl, Engelhorn Sport, Mannheim, Golf Absolutely, Lumiball.com, DLRG Mannheim, Leo Club Mannheim Palatinate, Lions Club Mannheim squares, Office of Sport and Recreation, the team from the pool and all the other volunteers … Is not it amazing feeling to do something good?
